About
Hollywood Health & Society and the Science & Entertainment Exchange are two of the leading organizations connecting storytellers with scientists, public-health experts, and policymakers. Neal Baer has worked extensively with both groups to help television writers integrate accurate medical, scientific, and social-issue content into scripted storytelling. Drawing on his dual background in medicine and showrunning, he serves as a bridge between researchers and the entertainment industry, guiding writers toward narratives that are both dramatically compelling and grounded in evidence. Through panels, workshops, and industry conversations, Baer helps ensure that portrayals of health, science, and social issues reach millions of viewers with clarity, nuance, and real-world relevance. In 2024, Neal was honored by his alma mater, Cherry Creek High School, with a Hall of Fame Award for his work connecting science and storytelling.
