About

Neal Baer expanded his storytelling into fiction with the Claire Waters medical-thriller series, co-written with Jonathan Greene. The novels follow Dr. Claire Waters, a forensic psychiatrist whose work draws her into high-stakes criminal investigations where psychology, trauma, and moral ambiguity collide. Baer brought his deep experience from ER and SVU into the books, crafting narratives grounded in behavioral science and real-world forensic practice. The series allowed him to explore darker psychological terrain than television often permits, blending clinical expertise with propulsive thriller plotting.
